This marketing site: no tracking, no cookies

newskurator.ch embeds no advertising networks, no fonts and no content from outside servers. The only exception is Google Analytics, if we switch it on; there is a separate section on that just below. As long as it is not switched on, the page sets no cookies and transmits nothing to analytics services.

Like every web server, the server keeps a technical log (IP address, time, page requested, browser identification). It serves the operation of the site and the prevention of abuse and is not used to analyse user behaviour.

The page calls a single address at the curator in order to show the number of free demo places. Nothing is transmitted other than the fact that someone opened the page.

Google Analytics, once activated

On this marketing site we may use Google Analytics 4 , an analytics service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). It helps us understand how many people visit the site and which sections are read. You can see whether it is currently active in your browser’s developer tools: without activation the page requests nothing from Google.

If it is activated, the following applies:

When you request a demo

We process the details you enter in the form:

Without your click on the confirmation link, no account is created. Until then we only hold your request. The link is valid for 48 hours; after that it expires. We send no advertising und geben deine Adresse nicht weiter.

If all demo places are taken, you can put yourself on a waiting list. We then store the same details and notify you once, as soon as a place becomes free.

When you use the curator

The application sets ein Cookie: deine Anmeldung.

If you connect a Gmail mailbox, that happens through Google’s authorisation flow (OAuth); wir bekommen kein Passwort und lesen ausschliesslich die Nachrichten des Ordners, den du angibst.

When you search for a source

Source discovery queries outside services – there is no other way to find a feed. Hinaus geht dabei ausschliesslich dein Suchbegriff, sonst nichts: keine Kennung, keine Angaben zu deinem Konto, nichts aus deinem Briefing.

These queries are made by unser Server, not your browser. The services named therefore see our address and not yours; they learn neither who searched nor for which client account.

When you pay

For payments we work with Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Dublin, mit Konzerngesellschaften in den USA).

Stripe’s own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

Where the data is stored

How long we keep data

Your rights

You may at any time request information about your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. An informal email to anfrage@netrix.ch genügt.

Security

The connection to this site and to the application is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as a hash, stored keys are encrypted. The server is not directly reachable from outside; access runs through an encrypted tunnel. Backups of the database are made regularly.

Changes

If the way we process data changes, we change this statement. The version shown here is the one that applies.
